The King of the Elephants returns with seven new episodes beginning April 1, 2009 at 3:30 PM ET on "qubo on ION Television."
In "Rowing Pains," Alexander learns a hard lesson about responsibility when he lets his rowing team and Zephir down.
The following week, new out-of-this-world astronomy adventures begin on Zula Patrol when "Fly Us to the Moon/Castaway Asteroid" premieres Thursday, April 9, at 3:30 PM ET on"qubo on ION Television." In "Fly Us to the Moon," Wizzy and Wigg want to go to the Moon to see the moon-ball championship game." Then, Gorga snorts up Wizzy’s and Wigg’s toy box full of toys. Multo proposes that they make a solar sail kite to play with instead, in "Castaway Asteroid."
Qubo also introduces a new schedule for the Spring on April 1.

Mall Fun for Kids!
Simon Kidgits Club and quboR have teamed together to bring Simon Kidgits Club Book Blast! tour to malls across the country. Celebrity storytellers are just part of the events planned to encourage children to enter the magical world of books. "Maisy" and Veggietales characters "Bob the Tomato" and "Larry the Cucumber" will visit select malls. Rounding out each Book Blast are activities and giveaways that make reading fun.
The sixth annual Book Blast! tour is from Saturday, February 14, through April 4. Check your local mall to see if they will host the Simon Kidgits Club Book Blast!

During Book Blast!, families can watch segments from Babar, VeggieTales, Jane and the Dragon, The Zula Patrol, and 3-2-1 Penguins! Even if your family is not a member of Simon Kidgits Club, attending the 2009 Book Blast! is free and open to Kidgits Club members or non-members.

Joining qubo's line-up is Turbo Dogs, a racing action series that encourages fair play and literacy. Turbo Dogs premieres Friday, Oct. 3, at 3:30pm ET on ION; Saturday, Oct. 4, at 12:00 Noon ET on NBC; and Saturday, Oct. 4, at 8:00am ET on Telemundo.

Get Goosebumps!
As a child, I loved scary stories and spooky movies and TV episodes, similar to R. L. Stine's books. Scholastic and Fox Home Entertainment have released three Goosebumps DVDs based on Stine's writings: One Day at Horrorland; Monster Blood; and A Night in Terror Tower DVDs. The first title is part of the Stine's HorrorLand series that also includes books and video games. The Goosebumps book and television series receives a great deal of criticism from some parents' groups. Nevertheless, they are entertaining scary stories for the preteens who love this genre. Stine's stories seem to be inspired by O'Henry's surprise endings and Twilight Zone's twists and turns.

Qubo Health and Nutrition Initiatives
As the Summer Olympics near, qubo has teamed with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) and the Ad Council to produce PSAs starring Shawn Johnson, Misty May-Treanor, Kerri Walsh, and Sanya Richards. The PSAs are a part of HHS' Childhood Overweight and Obesity Prevention Initiative, Healthy Youth for a Healthy Future, and the Ad Council's Coalition for Healthy Children. The focus of the ads is to stay healthy and fit, even if you are not an Olympic athlete. The TV spots debuted April 15 to coincide with the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Media Summit in Chicago. qubo is the children's entertainment service featured Saturday mornings on NBC. qubo is also seen on Telemundo Saturday and Sunday mornings and weekdays on ION.
